| | Notes | Brilliant but uncomfortable film of a WWII vet drifting through life who sets up the Church Without Christ. He teams up with another preacher and his daughter. The preacher pretends to be blind to aid his appeal and he convinces the young man to blind himself so he'll truly see the light. He does this using, if I remember right, caustic soda. There is no happy ending.
