| Notes | A young woman (still at school) hears voices. The medicine she takes makes her feel bad and she goes into convulsions from the side effects. One day she sets light to her parents' kitchen and she's put into mental hospital where she is diagnosed as schizophrenic. But she runs away from the hospital. For a time she lives on the streets until she gets herself arrested. Her sister is jealous of the attention given to sick sister but later turns down her acceptance into Rochester College to help the family. The sick sister takes an overdose and the family starts looking for a good carer but there's a long waiting list for carers. Plenty of emotion here but little understanding. Most situations like her sleeping on the streets are dealt with quickly.
