| Notes | B/W. Young woman's breakdown. Harrowing, difficult viewing. You'll need your valium handy if you're going to stick with this. Forget that Catherine Deneuve is one of God's most beautiful creations, she'll have you sliding off your seat onto the floor. The setting is London. The film titles run across an eye. Quickly we see that Deneuve is a woman alone even in company. She's offhand with her boyfriend. She lives with her sister but is upset by her sister's boyfriend. She's disturbed by finding the boyfriend shaving. She can't stand having her sister making love in next room. When her sister goes away leaving her alone her mental state deteriorates and the horror begins. This is a very disturbing film with images that will shock. I don't think we are told anything about her condition except what we construct from her actions and the images.
