Title | Psycho (1998) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Mental | Country | USA | Length | 104 | Genre | Horror | Rating | 2 | Director | Gus Van Sant
| Cast | Vince Vaughn Anne Heche Julianne Moore Viggo Mortensen William H. Macy
| Notes | This is the original film made in colour supposedly copying frame by frame. The irony is that Hitchcock could have made the original in colour but chose not to do so. The new version is more sexually explicit though I should think this detracts from the mental picture we form of Norman Bates, and it does mean this version isn't an exactly frame by frame copy of the original. Apparently Heche gives more depth to the character of Marion but Vaughn gives less to this character because his physical presence is wrong for the part. I've seen this film now and hated it. It's as bad and misguided as Reeve's remake of The Rear Window.
