Title | Persona (1966) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Mental | Country | Sweden | Length | 81 | Genre | Drama | Rating | 4 | Director | Ingmar Bergman
| Cast | Bibi Andersson Liv Ullmann Gunnar Bjornstrand Margaretha Krook Jorgen Lindstrom
| Notes | B/W One of the best of Bergman's films in its detail of a relationship. Quite heavy going and requires concentration and not accessible in the same way as for example "The Seventh Seal". An actress suddenly refuses to speak after playing in "Electra". A psychiatrist sends her to a cottage by the seaside in the care of a nurse. But rather than being an exploration of why the actress has stopped speaking we witness the nurse pouring out her soul in an attempt, at first, to get her to talk. The revelation is that the nurse has as many problems as the actress.
