Title | Morgan -- A Suitable Case for Treatment (1966) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Mental Schizophrenia? | Country | UK | Length | 93 | Genre | Tragicomedy | Rating | 4 | Director | Karel Reisz
| Cast | David Warner Vanessa Redgrave Robert Stevens Irene Handl
| Notes | B/W This film was memorable when it first came out, especially for the performance by David Warner. In 1966 it was a novelty. But now its mixture of styles, comedy, satire, serious drama, means we don't engage with the film and its impact is lessened. Morgan's eccentricity is pushed over the edge by his ex-wife's plans to re-marry. He puts a bomb under her bed which would appear to be the act of a psychotic but then dresses up in a gorilla suit which has a comic effect. Newcomers to the film may find much to chew on.
