| Cast | Helen Mirren Kyra Sedgwick Michael Yarmush Beau Bridges
| Notes | Set on Martha's Vineyard. Helen Mirren's Chase comes out of mental hospital and her husband(Beau Bridges) hires Elizabeth (Sedgewick) to look after her and their two sons.. Mirren and Sedgwick are very good. Bridges fortunately isn't seen too much as he's off in Boston working. Chase torments Elizabeth until they bond after Elizabeth breaks down and Chase comforts her. Elizabeth has a sister in a mental hospital and it's likely their mother killed herself. She visits her sister in hospital but her sister is resentful of Elizabeth and after an initial show of friendliness flies off the handle. On return to Martha's Vineyard Elizabeth breaks down and thinks Chase is her mother. Thus roles are reversed and Chase comforts Elizabeth. Chase falls in love with Elizabeth. Elizabeth thinks she's going crazy. So the older boy rings his father. A rather good film with some enlightening moments.
