| Notes | A beautiful but insecure and possessive woman is married to a novelist and jealous of his family and friends. While the husband's disabled brother is staying with them she is the indirect cause of his drowning. When she becomes pregnant she doesn't want to share her husband's affections with a child. Her response is to throw herself downstairs to cause an abortion. Later when she sees her husband has an admirer she commits suicide. Powerful stuff. Re-made for TV as "Too Good To Be True" 1988.
