| Notes | Ulrich plays an FBI agent who rides his motor cycle without wearing a helmet presumably for street cred. He's divorced (clue for romance coming up) and he plays the piano. When a kid is shot during a raid he resigns. Colleague urges him to come back for one last job and he goes undercover but is shot on the first day. So now he's a paraplegic. Yet now he asks for one more job to go after guy who shot him and he sets out to make himself mobile in his wheelchair. We see a demo of wheelies from someone who is presumably a real paraplegic (he's in a group playing basketball) and he's given lessons on how to be Speedy Gonzalez in a wheelchair. The action shifts to Barcelona and there he gets around without any access problems and even thwarts a mugger (empowerment!!) Though I'm pretty sure Ulrich has a double in some of the more difficult stunts he pulls. At one point he even plunges into a dock in his wheelchair. We don't see how he gets out and the next thing we see is him driving a car. No clue as to how he drives the car, no adaptation seen. And of course being really positive he gets a beautiful woman but they drive without wearing seat belts so who knows what might happen. This film represents the worst way to represent someone who is disabled and is similar to Rutger Hauer's blind Vietnam vet in "Blind Fury" (see below).
