| | Notes | B/W Robert Montgomery plays Danny a psychopath who insinuates himself into home of Mrs Bransom (Whitty) who is usually referred to as an invalid. Her niece (Russell) is attracted to Danny and learns that he maybe a serial killer. This makes her hesitate to call the police. At the end all we see is Danny carrying a hat-box which just might contain Mrs Bransom's head. From Emlyn Williams' play. Re-made in 1964 (UK) with Albert Finney apparently less successfully.
