| Notes | A local newspaper editor, the Lamb, looks after his disabled mother. When he falls in love he doesn't take it further because he feels it unfair to burden a wife with his mother. Then in steps, the Wolf (Chaney), who used to court the Woman before he disappeared into the mountains for five years. Now he renews his courtship and he and the Woman are married. He takes her to his home in the mountains only for her to discover he's a violent husband. Meanwhile the Lamb's mother has died and he seeks solace in the mountains. Instead he gets involved with a gang of outlaws The Wolf who manages the payroll for a mining co. is planning to rob it. At the same time the Lamb and his gang are set on the same robbery.
