| | Notes | A thriller filmed in the Asian areas of Manchester and Accrington, England. A young Bengali girl, Shikha, is wandering from her father's rigid dictats. He came to Manchester in the sixties to work in the mills but following an accident at work he now uses a wheelchair. Shikha being his eldest daughter he expects her to go to university. But he discovers the 17 year old with a young man. So enraged is he that he has her beaten and then locked in her room and not allowed to go to school. Her mother helps her to escape and she goes to London and a women's refuge. But her father is determined to have her under his will, dead or alive.
