| Notes | Richard (Branagh) is a somewhat cranky artist who is obsessed with flight and tries it from the roof of a building. This lands him in trouble with the law and he is given community service. This consists of looking after Jane (Bonham Carter) who has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. A condition we are most familiar with in the example of Stephen Hawking. Your body gradually loses its function but your mind remains intact. The kind of help Jane most wants is in losing her virginity. Richard doesn't fancy the job so thinks of renting someone to do it. Short of money he plans to rob a bank. The film apparently concentrates on the changes in Richard brought about by his contact with Jane. H.B.C. is said to be very good as Jane.
