| Notes | Steve Carroll writes: "This movie takes place in Australia, where a slightly poor couple have adopted six children, including Hector, who wears a full-leg brace. An unscrupulous businessman who doesn't like the fact that Hector's dad is raising so many children even though he is pretty much out of work, sends word to Social Services. A lady comes out and almost immediately gets the idea that it is not "proper" for a "boy like Hector" to be "living in such conditions". Not ready to give up without a fight, they hide Hector in a tunnel underneath the house (it is his hiding place anyway) and the rest of the family claims Hector was abducted by a "Bunyip", which, from the script I gather to be some sort of Australian legend. Reporters and tourists flock to the area, totally confounding the Social Servies worker and angering the business man. Eventually family love wins out, and Hector returns, and is allowed to stay with his family. "
