| Notes | B/W An American sniper in Italy during WWII is doing his job, killing Germans. The more he kills the more troubled he becomes. Then he spares one soldier and just watches him through his scope. Slowly the soldier's trivial, everyday activities and idiosyncrasies lead the sniper to realise this is a human being. And he also realises the soldier has learning difficulties. He decides to approach the soldier and forms a relationship. This story may be interesting but it sounds like a film of ideas. I would predict that the German soldier is killed, and probably the American soldier too. Those who have seen the film have been impressed.
