Title | 'Night Mother (1986) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | General Epilepsy | Country | USA | Length | 92 | Genre | Drama | Rating | 2 | Director | Tom Moore
| Cast | Sissy Spacek Anne Bancroft
| Notes | A daughter tells her mother she is going to kill herself. And for the next 96 minutes they talk. And that's it, just two people in their home. Spacek is a superb actress and Bancroft is quite good and the dialogue is rich but this cannot hold one's attention. This is an old fashioned stage play where the dialogue causes the stage boards to creak (and there are none of the fireworks of say, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf). One can only imagine this is a vanity project and from Aaron Spelling who is responsible for so much third rate TV (not to mention his daughter Tori). The daughter is epilectic but this is only one of her reasons for ending it all.
