Title | Heart (1999) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | General Heart Transplant Wheelchair | Country | UK | Length | 85 | Genre | Drama | Rating | ? | Director | Charles McDougall
| Cast | Saskia Reeves Christopher Eccleston Kate Hardie Rhys Ifans
| Notes | Gary while waiting for a heart transplant has reached the point where he uses a wheelchair. Then he gets a new heart from the victim of a motorcycle accident. Gary seeks out the donor's mother (or the other way around depending on whose review you read). At this point after a graphic showing of the heart transplant (I think we see enough of this in documentaries) the film becomes a kind of thriller. Gary's heart problems were originally exacerbated by his wife's affair with a screenwriter (she's a TV producer). Then the donor's mother starts to act in a strange, obsessive fashion. With this cast and such a writer (Jimmy McGovern) one would expect much of this film but the reviews haven't been too positive.
