| Notes | The final part of the everyday story of Mafia folk. Micheal Corleone who has progressed from war hero to Godfather has a double stroke and we finally see him in a wheelchair. Micheal Corleone has had 2 strokes and is in a wheelchair, and looks a sad, lonely man. A lot of blameless people have strokes, use a wheelchair, may be sad, may be lonely. But for M.C. this seems like a punishment (along with his wife leaving, his daughter dying, and his brother's death at his orders) for his very palpable sins Is it then a negative portrayal of disability? Could Coppolla have used other ways. MC's father was shot, recovered and died almost peacefully of a heart attack while playing with his grandchildren. Shooting is too good for MC. But the sad, stroke 'victim' in a wheelchair is as a result of his own making. He has killed, caused to be killed many, and alienated everyone who might have loved and respected him.
