Title | Extreme Measures (1996) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | General Medical | Country | USA | Length | 117 | Genre | Thriller | Rating | 3 | Director | Michael Apted
| Cast | Hugh Grant Gene Hackman Sarah Jessica Parker David Morse Bill Nunn
| Notes | Medical drama with variation on grave robbing, i.e. using the homeless for medical research. (Any other good ideas use the suggestion box). Grant is the good doctor, Hackman the bad one. Hackman is researching using human guinea pigs into regenerating nerve tissue and curing spinal paralysis. At one point Grant's good doctor becomes paralysed himself, by Hackman who tells him it's only temporary but is using this to get Grant to face the dilemma: how far would you go to extend medical research? But since the film is 99% thriller this 'moral trifle' could easily be overlooked. Alan Toy (paraplegic actor) starrs.
