Title | American Flyers (1985) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | General Brain disease | Country | USA | Length | 114 | Genre | Drama | Rating | 2 | Director | John Badham
| Cast | Kevin Costner David Grant Rae Dawn Chong Alexandra Paul Janice Rule Luca Bercovici Robert Townsend
| Notes | Two brothers take part in bike marathon called 'The Hell of the West'. The film is set amongst the Colorado Rockies. The younger brother (David Grant) is suspected of having an hereditary condition -- a weak blood vessel on the brain -- (cerebral aneurysm ) which caused his father to die of a stroke. There are also doubts about the older brother (Kevin Costner). A good deal of talking, many questions raised but little resolved. The purpose is presumably to parallel the bike race with the race against death. Reasonably entertaining, especially the scenery, but overall unsatisfactory.
