| Notes | Teachers are warned against watching this film they might run out of red ink. When Jackson who has been almost fatally stabbed in one school turns up several months later in another school you'll initially think he's got the answer to 'crowd trouble'. One problem for us Brits with these "Blackboard Jungle" type films is that the pupils look to be in their twenties. Are they eternally held back for failing? Make them wear a uniform (Alicia Silverstone is excepted). Jackson of course doesn't have the answer he has 'the solution'. Idealism has dipped below the horizon and Jackson begins fighting back. This is "Death Wish" in a cloud of chalk dust. It's my view that the kind of people who would appreciate this film are the very ones whose fingers are chopped off by Samuel 'lop'emoff' Jackson. So it will likely backfire.
