Title | Untamed Heart (1993) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | General Heart trouble | Country | USA | Length | 102 | Genre | Drama | Rating | 3 | Director | Tony Bill
| Cast | Christian Slater Marisa Tomei Rosie Perez Kyle Secor
| Notes | A romance which doesn't really get one involved. This despite the presence of Tomei and Slater. She is a waitress who has trouble hanging onto boyfriends. He is a busboy (dishwasher) with heart trouble (the medical sort). Set in Minneapolis which makes a change. As the film progresses Slater needs a heart transplant but he doesn't want one because the nuns who raised told him he was brought up in the jungle and has the heart of an ape which makes him strong. This despite his occasionally losing consciousness because of his weak heart. There's a lot of cigarettes smoked in this film, a bit odd when it's about heart problems but smoking may be seen a short cut to working class cred. This might have been a great film.
