| | Notes | A young woman in love with a young man is told she has leprosy. The film then educates us in the brutal way Japan treated people with leprosy until very recently. Separated from the man she loves she is sent to a sanitarium. But later she discovers her diagnosis was wrong and she sets out to join the young man. At the train station she is overcome with remorse and decides to return to the sanitarium to help those who really do have leprosy.
