| Notes | This film is about as viable as Nick Nolte's accent. This is so awful that one is constantly wondering, why didn't someone tell him. Apparently the accent is similar to Odone's but that's not a good enough excuse. Parents of a child with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare nerve disease, seek a cure. I think one reason this is a bad film is that it tries too hard to be authentic. It follows the well-worn template of TV "disease of the week" films but maybe because Nolte and Sarandon are respected actors, especially Sarandon some people look at it differently. My own opinions on this film are so at odds with the generality it's best to look elsewhere for a more favourable review.
