| Notes | A young construction worker (plasterer) who enjoys his work and plays football at the weekends starts to develop the symptoms of M.S. At first he struggles to understand what causes his double vision and numbness in his fingers. When he is diagnosed with M.S. and has to give up most of his activities he takes it out on his live-in girlfriend. Telling her to leave him she does have an affair with her boss but comes back to him. Very detailed study of what it means to develop this condition which can initially be difficult to diagnose. Examines the sometimes less than perfect attitudes of doctors, his friends and the man himself. Carlyle you may know from "The Full Monty" is an excellent actor and there's a good supporting cast.
