Title | Snow White: A Tale of Terror (1997) | Alternative/Original Title | 1.The Grimm Brothers' Snow white 2. Snow White in the Black Forest | Disability | Dwarf | Country | USA | Length | 100 | Genre | Fable | Rating | 2 | Director | Michale Cohn
| Cast | Signourney Weaver Monica Keenan Sam Neill Brian Glover
| Notes | Alt. Title 3. Snow White in the Dark Forest Authentic to some period or other (around the time of the Crusades) with authentic Hollywood dialogue. Snow White to her wicked stepmother: "I know we've never gotten along." Presumably since Snow White's mother is dying or dies before her birth it is a Caesarean birth. Snow White runs away and falls down a deep hole (c.f.. Alice in Wonderland) and is held hostage by a gang of miners/thieves. One of the gang has only one eye, one is a dwarf and one almost rapes Snow White. There are no seven dwarfs and no prince charming. And don't think I didn't like this because it corrupts the original, it's just a bad film. And why all the singing from Signourney Weaver? Definitely not for children, nor for discerning adults.
