Title | Ship of Fools (1965) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Dwarf Drug addiction | Country | USA | Length | 149 | Genre | Drama | Rating | 4 | Director | Stanley Kramer
| Cast | Simone Signoret Vivienne Leigh Oskar Werner Jose Ferrer Lee Marvin Michael Dunn
| Notes | B/W 'All human life is there', on a ship sailing from Veracruz to Bremerhaven in 1931. A story written with the hindsight of what was going to happen later. There's anguish, romance (happy and unhappy), drug addiction and prejudice. At the time I thoroughly enjoyed this film especially Oskar Werner who wears his face like a clown's mask (rather like Christopher Walken). Now I feel I'd be less enthusiastic. Micheal Dunn plays a dwarf passenger who has to be considered the most 'normal' person on board. I think it is the Simone Signoret character who is into drugs. From the book by Katherine Anne Porter
