Title | Son of Frankenstein (1939) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Disfigurement Amputee | Country | USA | Length | 99 | Genre | Horror | Rating | 4 | Director | Rowland V. Lee
| Cast | Basil Rathbone Boris Karloff Bela Lugosi Lionel Atwill Josephine Hutchinson Edgar Norton Donnie Dunagan
| Notes | B/W. Not so tightly directed or as well scripted as the earlier Frankenstein films there are still some fine moments. Karloff is the monster again and Lugosi is a shepherd with a distorted spine (his neck was broken when he was hanged). The police chief has a noisy artificial arm which is later torn out. But the set design and lighting are the stars of this film. In almost every scene your attention is distracted by these wonderfully bizarre sets beautifully lit. See also 'Bride of Frankstein'
