| Notes | In a car crash a young Air Force nurse looses her baby and is badly disfigured. Her husband rejects her and leaves and she becomes depressive. Her condition is not helped when the drunk driver who caused the crash is dealt with leniently. Things begin to change when a doctor offers to reconstruct her face and even gets her stay in the Air Force extended so the medical bills are covered. While she can she continues to work in the hospital though she is unable to speak because her jaws are wired shut. In what seems like a touch of fiction she becomes friends with a patient who has temporarily lost his sight and is afraid she will lose his friendship when he can see her. Of course he doesn't. Her face is restored and she marries the doctor who did it. Based on the story of Leola Mae Harmon.
