This is a positive, good natured romantic comedy of a kind popular and successful in the late thirties and early forties. It is Steve Martin's film in every frame. And works best when using his comedic skills as in the bar-room scene where he goes through a string of jokes about big noses. But he still can't reach for the woman he loves so he helps the man his beloved does like. Of course Martin's words succeed over the other man's brawn. Heartily recommended.
