Title | Cyrano de Bergerac (1990) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Facial disfigurement | Country | French | Length | 138 | Genre | Costume drama | Rating | 5 | Director | Jean-Paul Rappeneau
| Cast | Gerard Depardieu Anne Brochet Vincent Perez Jacques Weber Roland Bertin Philippe Morier-Genoud
| Notes | Depardieu's performance as Cyrano is unlikely to be surpassed, he is one of the finest speakers of French, verse or prose, and ranks with Laurence Olivier as an actor. The 17th Century play by Edmund Rostand has well stood the test of time, the production is superb, and a great supporting cast. It is Depardieu's acting which makes one aware of his disfigurement not the size of his nose (which is small compared with some adaptations). Learn French.
