Title | Jerry Maguire (1996) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Deaf | Country | USA | Length | 136 | Genre | Romantic comedy | Rating | 4 | Director | Cameron Crowe
| Cast | Tom Cruise Cuba Gooding Jr. Renee Zellweger Kelly Preston Jerry O'Connell
| Notes | A sports agent (Cruise) loses his job for speaking his mind and is left with just one loyal client, a reasonably good footballer. He is followed out of the firm's door by an accountant ( a single mother played by Renee Zellweger) who believes in his 'mission statement'. The film is about the agent's struggle to get the footballer's contract extended and the change of Cruise's romantic attachment from his beautiful fiancee to the less attractive but committed accountant. A complex romantic comedy which mostly succeeds. There is a very short scene in a lift which Cruise and Zellweger share with a deaf couple. They are signing to each other. When they get out Cruise wonders what they said. Zellweger answers (she says she has a relative who is deaf) "You complete me".
