| Notes | B/W. In the small town of Ludlow, Illinois 150 people are missing. A reporter is stopped at an army road block around the town. She asks a doctor what is going on. Together with his deaf assistant they drive to a grain silo which has been the source of a mysterious disaster. The deaf assistant is killed, or rather eaten by some very hungry and giant grasshoppers. They advance on Chicago with the army powerless to stop them until the doctor produces a high-pitched noise and like Pied Piper leads them to a watery grave.
