Title | Summer to Remember, A (1985) (TV Film) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Deaf | Country | USA | Length | ? | Genre | Drama | Rating | ? | Director | Robert Michael Lewis
| Cast | Bridgette Andersen Molly Cheek James Farentino Louise Fletcher Sean Justin Gerlis Tess Harper Burt Young
| Notes | A young boy has become deaf after having meningitis. At first he is angry especially with his new stepfather. Then an orangutan comes into his life (it literally fell or was thrown off the back of a truck). The orangutan becomes his new friend and they communicate using sign language. Now is that American sign language or Orangutan sign language. Clint Eastwood has a lot to answer for. Sean Gerlis who plays the boy is deaf himself and I'm recommending the film for that reason.
