| Cast | Peter Cushing Edward Judd Carole Gray Niall MacGinnis
| Notes | Leaden film with the usual cast of mediocre British actors. There is a lot of pseudo scientific explanation under the pretense of looking for a cure for cancer. The sets are very obviously fibre glass or papier mache. The horror starts when a worker in the laboratory goes outside and disappears between two large rocks. Later his body is found turned to jelly. When you get to see the monster responsible for this you'll know that special effects hadn't yet been invented. Though this doesn't stop the monster spawning a number of replicas. The film is set I think in Hammer's backyard. The lab team in an unbelievably trashy scene try to kill the monsters first with shotguns, then a petrol bomb and finally dynamite.
