Title | Distinguished Gentleman (1992) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Cancer | Country | USA | Length | 112 | Genre | Comedy | Rating | 3 | Director | Jonathan Lynn
| Cast | Eddie Murphy Victoria Rowell Joe Don Baker Sheryl Lee Ralph Kevin McCarthy
| Notes | Murphy plays a hustler who accidentally becomes a congressman and takes backhanders at every turn just like some of his fellow congressmen. But one of his constituents has a young girl with a brain tumour/cancer 'caused' by power lines. And of course the Power company has a powerful and generous lobby. It's left to Murphy to reform himself and congress. As a Murphy vehicle it's better than some of his past efforts like Harlem Nights. The young girl with the 'bald' head is just cuteness personified. And one wonders at film makers using such cause and effect when the relationship, if any, between power lines and cancer is still unproved.
