In this version a six year old girl has Wilms tumour in the kidney. She needs an operation and chemotherapy but her parents are against it and turn to a faith healer. When the social services try to force them to get orthodox treatment they leave Germany. But as the girl worsens the newspapers campaign to get the parents to change their mind.
