Title | Knockin' on Heaven's Door (1997) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Cancer | Country | Germany | Length | ? | Genre | Road movie | Rating | 4 | Director | Thomas Jahn
| Cast | Til Schweiger Jan Josef Liefers Thierry Van Werveke
| Notes | Silvia in Germany writes: "The story is a typical road movie about two cancer patients, one with a brain tumor and the other with bone cancer, who run from the hospital because they have never seen the ocean ("In heaven all they talk about is the ocean and when you are there, you have nothing to talk about"). Unfortunately they steal the car of a gangster boss to get there. Two very stupid killers are trying to catch them because there is a lot of money in the car which they should take to another gangster boss. On their way there are many funny and sad incidents like robbing a gas station by accident, a bank robbery or the wonderful scene when one of them gives his mother, who is a great Elvis fan, a pink Cadillac. The movie is starring Til Schweiger who is a great star in Germany (sometimes it is said, he is the German Brad Pitt and an American newspaper wrote about him 1." it is not so great to have a Brad Pitt," and 2. "Schweiger is better". Rutger Hauer has a small role. It is a wonderful movie to laugh and to cry and you should try to see it.
