| | Notes | A successful romantic novelist writing under a pseudonym writes an article attacking her own novels under another pseudonym. The film examines her life as it disintegrates around her. A talky film which perhaps most people will find not worth the effort to follow. The novelist's mother is blind. A condition which appears to be a fact of life rather than to make a point. Though with Almodovar one can't be too sure.
