| Notes | Within the first minute I guessed this was going to be the turkey I'd heard it was. The original British TV series was formulaic but had a certain appeal which made it popular. The female side of the dynamic duo, Emma Peel, was played by at least two actors. In my opinion you couldn't choose less appealing actors for the roles of Steed and Peel. And the over-the-top approach just doesn't work. Their boss is played by Jim Broadbent sitting in a wheelchair and his second in command is blind. There appears to be no reason for this other than novelty value. I never saw the TV series so I don't know if these characters are disabled there.
