| Notes | A young man sits by the naked body of a young woman. He walks away leaving the body. Then his friends are taken to the where she lies. They see it is Jamie, his girlfriend. All of them know both the murderer and the victim. They decide they won't tell anyone but word spreads. Eventually Matt (Reeves) tells the police without telling his friends he has done so. But his younger brother learns of his treachery and plots to get a gun and kill him. These teenagers are heavily into alcohol and drugs. Their drug dealer is Feck (Hopper) who is a RAK amputee. He lost his leg in a motor cycle accident. He also carries around a blow-up doll to remind him of his girlfriend who he shot. This is an interesting film which examines the psyche of these young people. But Sampson who kills his girlfriend already looks like an outsider. Feck's character is rather over-the-top which would suit Hopper down to the ground. Crispin Glover who plays Layne is the most interesting. I'd have liked the film more if most of it weren't shot in the dark, whether it's day or night. Lone Skye is billed as Lone Skye Leitch, it's her first film. Neal Jimenez also wrote "The Waterdance".
