| Cast | Nicholas Cage Cher Danny Aiello Olympia Dukakis Vincent Gardenia
| Notes | When a film about romance is as good as this I'd say it's French. The French do this kind of thing very well, the Americans only occasionally. This time they've got it right. Cher is an Italian-American widow in her late thirties who has just got engaged to Aiello. He pops off to Sicily to see his dying mother and Cher meets his younger brother, Cage. Love rises like yeast and we barely notice that Cage's baker has an artificial hand.
