| Notes | This is a "what if" film. Like what if terrorists had attacked the Atlanta Olympics? In one of those amazing coincidences the hero is a member of the maintenance staff who was a former Olympic gymnast but who lost a leg in a previous encounter with the terrorists. His disability and disappointment turned him onto drink. Hence his now lowly position working in the swimming pool area where his ex-girlfriend is the swimming coach. Of course he is as much a janitor as Seagal was a chef in Under Siege (1992), and Blast is ,like Under Siege, a poor man's Die Hard. Despite his disability our hero is the fly in the ointment for the terrorists and as he picks them off his stature rises in the eyes of his ex-girlfriend. You can guess the conclusion. Fittingly his opponent, the leader of the terrorists, is Rutger Hauer who has recovered from his blindness in "Blind Fury" (1990) but is still no match for our one-legged janitor .
