| Cast | John Ritter Tess Harper Anna Chlumsky Sarah Chalke Bill Clinton
| Notes | It all starts with a lump on the knee which then becomes cernovial cykoma, a malignant tumour of the connective tissue. The teenage girl (Anna Chlumsky) who has this has to have a leg amputated followed by chemotherapy. There's a very quick transition from the amputation to the fitting of an artificial leg presumably because that would be difficult to show. Later we always see her in trousers or thick tights. Her father, a car salesman, is so stressed by her condition he loses his job and with that medical insurance. The family appeal to a Federal Commission and appear before it. The girl even gets to see President Clinton who as we know is a good actor. But the poor girl after around 12 months of chemotherapy still gets lung cancer with multiple nodules on both lungs and untreatable. In the end she dies. Well played by all concerned without creating sparks.
