| Notes | The story told over 20 years of a disabled woman living in Baltimore, USA (c. 1940s) who set up a baseball team of street kids to save them from juvenile delinquency. Because the team includes black and white kids she struggles with the authorities. During this time she has both feet amputated. I don't know if she was disabled before this or what was the cause of the amputations.
