Title | Gia (1998) (TV Film) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | AIDS | Country | USA | Length | 90 | Genre | True story | Rating | 2 | Director | Michael Cristofer
| Cast | Angelina Jolie Elizabeth Mitchell Eric Michael Cole Kylie Travis Louis Giambalvo
| Notes | In the fashion of TV 'disease of the week' films this is based on the story of a real life super model Gia Carangi. It's glossy but dull and the excuse of its existence is that she was one of the first women in the U.S. to die from AIDS, plus it allows the inclusion of some very soft porn. Her life is charted from teenager to when she died at 26. She probably caught HIV from drug abuse though the film claims she slept around. Worth seeing for the detail and the exposure, if we needed it, of the background to modelling.
