NotesB/W. The film starts with an introduction to the acts in a carnival. While the ventriloquist, Professor Echo, puts on his act there's a woman pickpocket in the audience. She turns out to be in collaboration with the ventriloquist. There's a dwarf who is obstreperous to everyone and he kicks a boy in the face causing a riot. The leads to the carnival being closed and the Unholy Three having to hide out. They are the strongman (Ivan Linow), the dwarf (Harry Earles) and Professor Echo (Chaney) accompanied by the female pickpocket (Lila Lee). For some reason they're running a pet shop. Chaney is disguised as a woman and Harry Earles as a baby. Earles as the baby is simply hilarious and Echo uses his ventriloquist skills to 'make' the parrots talk. But selling 'speaking impaired' parrots isn't their only vice. They use their entree into the owners' houses to case them for a later robbery. Harry Earles is billed as the midget.
