Title | Woman's Tale, A (1991) | Alternative/Original Title | | Disability | Cancer | Country | Australia | Length | 93 | Genre | Drama | Rating | 3 | Director | Paul Cox
| Cast | Sheila Florance Gosia Dobrowolska Norman Kaye Chris Haywood Ernest Gray Myrtle Woods
| Notes | An old woman dying of cancer attempts to gain some dignity. The actor herself was dying. A very simple tale as we call those films which portray an ordinary life. I consider this ultimately rather boring even though we may be aware that the actress, Sheila Florance, died shortly after and received Australia's Academy Award for best actress. In my opinion vastly over-praised and you had best look elsewhere for a more sympathetic opinion. However as a portrayal of ageing and attitudes to older people it is worthwhile.
