| Notes | Set in 1941. She's blind ergo she plays the piano and she does a bit of gardening. Gardening in films is always represented by putting in small bedding plants and never by digging, hoeing or manuring. She's beautiful, she's rich, and her parents are over protective. She became blind at the age of 12. A friend suggests she correspond with a blind man in California. This she rejects initially but changes her mind and what do you know the next thing he turns up uninvited on their doorstep (She'd wanted to go see him but wasn't allowed). Of course her parents are a bit put out. Now when you see this guy is "John Boy" from "The Waltons" you can an idea of the profoundity of this little drama. Of course, skeptical me, has lost his suspension of disbelief long ago and I just find these third rate actors pretending to be blind objectionable. If this is based on a true story I'm fairly certain it wasn't acted out like this. Note that once again the characters are blind and not visually impaired.
