| Notes | Some of the passengers on an internal flight in the U.S. find that the rest of the passengers and the pilot have disappeared. Fortunately there is a pilot travelling as a passenger. Also among them is a girl who is blind, and there's a psychopath. The plane lands in Bangor, Maine and the passengers discover they appear to be the only ones left on earth. The blind girl, naturally, has super human hearing but while she hears danger approaching no one takes any notice. The danger is The Langoliers who are rubbing out past time, and they, the passengers, have gone through a time warp. The passengers discover that the only way to survive is to return in the plane and remain asleep. But someone must be awake to fly the plane through the time warp. To be honest this was shown in 2 parts here in the U.K. and I just couldn't be bothered to watch the second. The portrayal of the blind girl is beyond belief. This is 1995 after all. Besides her super powers of hearing and character assessment she's not played as an attractive character. Her powers include being able to tell a woman she is a teacher just from the sound of her voice. Now that stereotypes teachers which is really heinous. She was also travelling to have an operation which had a 70% chance of restoring her sight. Because I didn't watch Pt.2 I don't know if this happened. If anyone remained awake and survived The Langoliers will they e-mail, please?
